At 9:15 this morning, a client told me she parks her jade roller in the freezer next to the spirulina and asked if it “moves lymph faster”; I gently explained cool is calming, but arctic temps can startle capillaries and stress sensitive skin. Anyone else translating kitchen habits into gentle skin education lately?
But > stress sensitive skin… Anyone else translating kitchen habits into gentle skin education lately? I keep a roller in the fridge, not freezer, and have clients warm it in their palm 10 seconds, then do 5 feather-light strokes per zone toward the ear/preauricular nodes — de-puffs without the capillary jump?
But > do 5 feather-light strokes per zone toward the ear/preauricular nodes — de-puffs without I have clients keep it in the fridge and, if they insist on freezer, let it warm 45–60 seconds and mist a hydrating toner first so it doesn’t grab and shock capillaries; do you cap the routine at 2 minutes?
@kthomas67 I teach the “inner wrist test”: if the roller feels bitey there, it’s too cold for cheeks — let it sit a minute, then do one gentle pass and switch to hands. Do you use a quick test like that?
